Advent Quiet Morning -Come Saturday, December 4 from 9:00 – 11:30 for an Advent Quiet Morning where we will spend time in the presence of a loving God who is waiting to welcome us, nurture us, and draw us into a deeper relationship. Facilitated by Beth Ranoull and Father Kent Tarpley.
The Longest Night: A Service of Remembrance and Hope -Join Deacon Mark, on Tuesday, December 21 at 5:30 for the Longest Night service. This is a time to be with others and express some of the grief and heartache of this year while we wait expectantly for the gifts of light and love that heals the most broken hearts. The Longest Night service is on the longest and darkest night of the year when we prepare our hearts for the light of Jesus coming into the world on Christmas Eve.
Festival of Advent Lessons and Carols December 5 & Breakfast -Our annual Festival of Advent Lessons and Carols will take place on Sunday, December 5th at 8:30 and 10:30 A.M. If you would like to be a part of St. Mary’s Choir for this beautiful service, please email Lucinda Mosher at [email protected].
Home Advent Wreaths Available -On November 28 in between services, we will have all the materials you need to prepare an Advent wreath for your home. The kit includes wreath, candles, and a prayer book to guide you through the season of Advent. The cost is $10.
Wrap Party -Get into the Christmas spirit and enjoy some holiday refreshments while we wrap presents for all students at the Green Cove Springs Head Start. Join us on Wednesday, December 1 at 2:00 and enjoy sharing Christmas fellowship. Questions? Contact Nina Wunderlich.
Ring the Bell for Salvation Army - Help spread the love and joy of Christmas this season. The Clay County Salvation Army is looking for volunteers to ring the iconic Salvation Army Christmas Bell starting December 6 – 11 from 10:00 am to Noon. If you are interested in volunteering at that time or any other time, there is a signup sheet in the Narthex. Questions, contact Nina Wunderlich or Holly McQueen.

* The last couple of years, it was VERY helpful when a few people linked up and took one child, purchasing all items for that child.
* Gift cards are wonderful as well - we will divide them up evenly.
* If you would like to donate a monetary contribution we will be happy to use the contribution to purchase items on the list.
* Request that items be dropped at the church or my house (14 St Johns Ave, GCS) by Saturday, 11 December.
* If needed, we will wrap the weekend of 11 December at my home.
* We will deliver the gifts to the Head Start on Monday or Tuesday, 13 or 14 December.

St. Mary’s Christmas Cards -Looking for the perfect Christmas gift? St. Mary’s Christmas cards are available this Sunday in the Narthex and River Room for your purchase. A package of 8 cards is $10. You can pay cash or check made payable to St. Mary’s Episcopal Church.
2021 Green Cove Springs Parade of Trees -Get into the holiday spirit with a Green Cove Springs Christmas tradition – the Parade of Trees in Spring Park. On November 28, come join us after the 10:30 service to decorate St. Mary’s Tree. The trees will be lighted each evening in Spring Park starting December 6 through December 31. Interested? St. Mary’s Christmas Party -Parishioners, Family and Friends join us on December 18th from 5:00- 7:00 P.M. for appetizers, dessert, cheer, music, and fellowship as we celebrate the joys of the Christmas season together! A sign-up sheet to bring appetizers and dessert will be in the church narthex this Sunday.
Christmas Greening of Church
Christmas Memorial and Thanksgiving dedications are used for the greening of the church for Christmas Eve and the 12 days of the Christmas season. Your dedications will be listed in our Christmas Eve bulletins. The poinsettias, wreaths and greenery will be used to decorate our beautiful church. On January 2, poinsettias will be shared with our community as a sign of Christ’s presence this Christmas.
Please email your dedication and donation for the Greening of the Church for Christmas to the church [email protected] or call 904-284-5434 by December 15th. Please write on the memo line of your check Greening of the Church. We suggest a donation of $15.00.
