Advent Quiet Day – Saturday December 5, 2020 9AM to Noon
How can we respond to the offer of a deepening and more intimate relationship with Jesus when he comes on Christmas day if our lives are cluttered and full? While the church sets aside the month of December for preparation and anticipating the birth of Jesus, the secular world would have us fill our lives to overflowing with shopping, decorating, cooking and entertaining.
This is the time of year when the slogan “Jesus is the Reason for the Season” appears. But, if Jesus showed up at your door, would you have the time, energy or room for Him in your life? Spend a morning along the St. John’s River, appropriately socially distanced, and focus on making room for Jesus in your life, especially at this most busy time of year. Gail Larson will guide us thru several reflections as we look at the material, emotional and intellectual clutter that stands between us and Jesus. We will begin at 9AM and end about noon. Weather permitting, we will be outside, so bring a comfortable chair if you wish. For further information contact Gail Larson at 904-476-0179 or [email protected]
