Holy Week - Connecting deeper to the mystery of faith and the power of Love
MAUNDY THURSDAY 4/1 - 6:00PM CHURCH - The word Maundy comes from the Latin Mandatum Novum, "New Commandment, from the Gospel of John 13:34-35. "Love one another. Just as I have loved you, you should love one another".
GOOD FRIDAY 4/2 - SERVICE AT NOON AND 6:00PM CHURCH. On this day we commemorate and reflect on Jesus' Crucifixion, Last Words and the implication of the Cross for our lives and the world.
HOLY SATURDAY- 4/3 - PERSONAL QUIET TIME AT THE KATE SCHIAPPA ALTAR - Holy Saturday sits between the agony of of Good Friday and the Joy of Easter. It is a time of uncertainty and waiting. Take time to pray the said service found on page 283 in the Book of Common Prayer and join with the disciples in their grief and hope.
