Deepening Our Faith

In baptism, we promise to continue in learning, fellowship, breaking of bread, and prayers. Whether gathered together or online, we can do these things so that our faith can grow!

Bible Study

Willard Kennedy continues to lead our weekly Bible Study. The group meets every Sunday in the River Room from 9:30 – 10:15. Anyone is welcome and can join at any time. Willard conducts a very informal class and wants people to feel comfortable and get enjoyment from the teachings. Please check out this very informative and enlightening opportunity that is available to us at St. Mary’s.

Newcomer's Class

Newcomer's class provides an introduction to St. Mary's and the Episcopal Church, and helps participants explore what it means to live a life of faith. Please come, whether you are new to Christianity, the Episcopal Church, or to st. Mary's. Share your story, your hopes and fears; and explore your gifts and find a ministry that suits those gifts.

Confirmation & Reception

Confirmation is offered for adults and youth who were baptized as infants and are ready to make a mature declaration of faith before the Bishop of the Diocese. For adults who were confirmed in another church, reception into the Episcopal Church is marked liturgically by making a declaration before the Bishop. Confirmation and reception may take place during a Bishop’s visitation.

Welcome First Visit Children Covid-19 Regathering Protocols

Welcome and thank you for visiting our St Mary’s website! We hope you will find helpful information here about our parish. We invite everyone to “Come to the River” because we believe what you will find here is a genuine welcome, a real community of people from all walks of life who come together for worship designed to empower and nurture disciples to serve the world in Jesus’ name. St. Mary’s natural setting is infused with the beauty of God’s creation, peace and renewal. So, look around our web site. Then come and join our journey of faith and see God at work in our midst on the banks of the St. John’s River in Green Cove Springs Florida.

Faithfully, The Rev. Amy A. Slater

When you come into the church, you’ll encounter steps or a ramp that will take you to the Red doors and the front porch of the church. There might be ushers, greeters and worship leaders there to welcome you and offer you a bulletin. The bulletin will help you know what’s happening in the service. As you enter the church you find yourself in our NARTHEX (that’s Episco-speak for entryway) and that is where we keep our sign-up sheets, newcomer information and where the coloring sheets for the children are located. We look forward to greeting you!

Saturday Family Service at 5:00 p.m.
