Sept. 11, 2017

On September 11, 2017 during Hurricane Irma, the St. Johns River flooded the grounds of our historic church. The church interior was spared direct water damage, but the underfloor mechanical systems were destroyed.

Come to the Waters

For more than 137 years, thirsty people have come to St. Mary’s Episcopal Church on the banks of the St. Johns River in Green Cove Springs to drink of the Water of Life and to be washed in the waters of Baptism.  Come to worship with a thirst for God.  Come to worship with a spirit of anticipation and a sense of expectancy, and Jesus will make himself known to you in this holy place.
