Sunday December 27th - One service at 10:30 - Leila Quinlan
On Sunday December 27th our amazing Intern for the Diaconate, Leila Quinlan will lead us in Morning Prayer. This service will be filled with your favorite Christmas carols. Below is a note from Leila to the St. Mary's community.
Dear Parish Friends,
I wish to thank you all for the opportunity to be a part of this beloved community these past six months. It has all gone so fast and it will not surprise you that I feel we’ve just begun!
You have each contributed to my formation and growth in special and sacred ways. When I arrived, you gave me a warm St. Mary’s welcome. When I preached, you listened and encouraged me to share the Word. When I wondered what I was doing, you sent me letters and emails that stirred me up. When we served, you invited me to fully participate in that serving. You allowed me into hearts and homes and for that I will be ever grateful. All that we’ve done together has equipped us as we go forward in service to Christ, wherever that may lead.
December 27, Lessons and Carols, is my final scheduled worship but I hope to stay involved with the good work at St. Mary’s through the Thriving Congregations project which you will hear more about in the months to come.
Finally, I wish to express my gratitude to The Reverend Amy Slater for her mentorship over these last 6 months. During my internship, Mother Amy has invited me to share fully in ministry at St. Mary’s and has exemplified powerfully the good shepherd who lovingly cares for the flock.
In Gratitude, Faith and Love,
Leila Quinlan
