Pastoral care ministry in the Episcopal tradition is about walking alongside individuals and communities, offering empathy, support, and spiritual guidance in times of joy and sorrow, and embodying the inclusive love of God for all people. It is a ministry that focuses on providing compassionate care and spiritual guidance to individuals and families during times of need, crisis, and transition.

The St. Mary's Cares Committee works closely with our clergy to provide pastoral care and support to those in need. This encompasses a range of activities and services aimed at nurturing the spiritual, emotional, and physical well-being of our parishioners and the wider community. These activities and services include, but are not limited to, pastoral visits to the sick, elderly, and homebound, offering prayers, comfort, and companionship in times of illness or distress, support to individuals and families facing life transitions such as birth, marriage, death, or loss; guidance, counseling and pastoral blessings as needed; Eucharistic visits; sending cards or notes of encouragement; help with funeral receptions; meal deliveries, etc.

St. Mary’s truly cares about our members, and we want to pray for and always be there for you when needed. If you need assistance, please contact the appropriate coordinator listed, or the church office to be connected to our team coordinators.

Our care coordinators are assigned the alphabet (by last name) as follows:
A-I, Nancy Rohr;
J-R, Holly McQueen; and
S-Z, Joy Maly

We are currently in need of volunteers to help with preparing meals (to be frozen).
If you are able to help in this role,
please let us know.
